Chinese hackers find a way to steal your credit card and PayPal information on Xbox live. They then take this information and use it to purchase Microsoft points. Once they have the Microsoft points they then transfer it to a bogus account and then sell it on the black market.
People buy Microsoft points that are stolen every day. They are sold on Chinese websites like D H G A T E. the Microsoft points are sold as Xbox live Microsoft points accounts that expire within 24 hours. The reason why they expire within 24 hours is that that is the amount of time it takes for credit card company to charge back the fraudulent charge.
Gamers that unknowingly by these MS points can later be banned from Xbox live for life.
So I completely understand your situation and hope that Microsoft does not get rid of Microsoft points. Microsoft points provide an opportunity to buy downloadable content without exposing your credit card and PayPal information.
