Gardening on a Budget for Modern Green Thumbs

Plants that are native to your area are more likely to survive with the natural rainfall patterns that normally occur. They may actually need less water to survive than plants that are brought in from other areas and you can grow them on better homes and garden tips. Keeping biodiversity in mind, you can use many different plants, and have a high rate of success with your garden if you take care to choose appropriate plants for your weather patterns. When you choose to import a plant, or buy a plant that is not native to your area, choose plants that have a high drought tolerance, such as silver leaf plants, or those with deep taproots and small leaves.

Succulent are wonderfully resistant to dry weather, and will prove to be a hearty addition to your low water or low maintenance garden. You definitely need to have a budget that is realistic when you decide to do something like organic gardening; the cost of fertilizer and compost can be very expensive.
